Thanks to for made available his profile section and thanks to for his little changes and improvements. I didn't have any trouble with it, works fine. Unfortunately, it doesn't came with External Encoder,īut, I found in another thread, the solution to get an External Encoder Option to use on Virtual Dub Filter Mod.Īnd fortunately, this pack came well done. Or wait for next version, I have (very simple) embedded hevc codec.Ībout External Encoder option, I don't have much expertise with scripts and command lines. See Wiki for detailed description: https. The default package is ready for use with many essential plugins included, and can be further extended with 3rd party codecs and filters. A streamlined video editor with simple frame-by-frame timeline. If you are not afraid of scripts and command lines you may use "export via external encoder method". An enhanced version of the original VirtualDub. I never tested x265vfw and I believe it is not compatible with vdfm method of writing MKV files. Both can be read by VirtualDub FilterMod and I usually transcode after with VirtualDub filtermod or FFmpeg to 10 bit FFV1 yuv 4.4.4 or 4.4.2 lossless or V210 uncompressed that I can use in Premiere Pro or in Avisynth with FFvideosource. ![]() I'll let the link of the VBFilterMod and the HEVC output codec that I used here. It's just really important to me, to save the output file with a HEVC codec. ![]() I hope didn't bothering you guys with a simple problem like this, However, the output file is saved, so I put it to play, but it doesn't show up any image, just a black window with audio playing, without video image. Here is the thing, when I Try to Save As MKV, compression x265vfw - H.265/MPEG-H codec, appears an error in the end of the process, and all windows get closed For the compression, I change (Uncompressed RGB/YCbCr) for x265vfw - H.265/MPEG-H codec (I did instal: So, I use the option to "Save As", selected: MKV. To cut a file MKV or MP4 (HEVC), I just use the Direct Stream Copy, it works fine,Īnd save it, in the MKV HEVC, without errors.īut, when I'm cutting a MKV or MP4 (AVC), I don't use, "Direct Stream Copy" to save a output file, because I want it, in HEVC. VirtualDub2 (previously known as VirtualDub FilterMod) is based on the well-known VirtualDub open source application and it includes features from different projects: x264 encoder, lagarith encoder, fflayer filter, etc. Scenes, from several file formats, like MKV (AVC and HEVC) and MP4 (AVC and HEVC). I don't encounter problems with the K-Lite codec package, however on a clean Windows system I want to use software portable as much as possible to prevent the Windows registry will get too spoilt which makes Windows slower and more instable.Hello everyone, I have had some issues to save an output file in the MKV format, using HEVC (H.265) codec on VirtualDub_FilterMod 40087_5. 21st Jun 2017 12:18 1 ResetMaster Member Jun 2017 Brazil Hi guys, in my experience about video edition, I realized that VirtualDub FilterMod is much better than the common VirtualDub. I'll keep installing the lagarith lossless separately, because I want to use that codec on other software too. And then I hope it ain't necessary anymore to install codec packages like K-Lite Mega. Very glad I did, because it ads functionality which lacks in the original. I recently discovered here on VirtualDub Filtermod. Tell me about it if you think it's a cool one )Īnother thing. For example there are several filters which actually do quite the same, so I want to keep the best one and remove the rest.Ĭan you advise me which filters you recommend to keep? (Perhabs you found another one somewhere else which wasn't in the package. ![]() However it makes the list available filters very long and unorganised, so I want to delete the ones which are not very necessary. I've downloaded the 200+ filter package which includes some very handy functions. I mainly use it for resizing and to fix bad video quality as much as possible. I discovered the software VirtualDub about 15 years ago and since then it's my favourite video-editing tool.
